Dear Parents,

Thank you for  assisting your child with the tools to successfully participate in our past Zoom session! This Wednesday, kiddos will be completing 9.1 and 9.2 in their Go Math books. Please have them bring their completed work to our next Zoom session on Thursday at 1:15. On Thursday, the students will also complete Go Math lessons 9.3 and 9.4 before our Zoom session. Please have them bring these completed assignments to our Go Math Zoom meeting so we may review and discuss areas of concern.

In addition, I plan to connect with parents by phone on Wednesday, to make sure students have the materials they need to complete assignments, parents & students know where the daily assignments are posted, and students are able to connect to students links to participate in Core 5 Lexia and Moby Math. At the time of the calls, I should also be able to verify the pick up time for next week's assignment packets.

In closing, thank you for all you are doing. You are truly your child's first teacher. Your efforts, patience, and kindness is appreciated, and greatly contributes to their home study success.

With Appreciative Thanks,

Mrs. Newcombe

Dear Families,

Good morning! Monday's assignment is posted on the calendar tab. Please have students complete the required assignments, and decide if they wish to participate in the provided options. Though I will also have the assignments posted on google classroom, aside from the opening window, I will not have students navigating within google classroom at this time.

Students packets were delivered this past Sunday in Tanaina's parking lot. I will try to drop off remaining packets to home sites on Monday, March 30th. In an effort to establish a scheduled routine for receiving and delivering student work, please email me by Wednesday, April 1st,  to let me know if packet pick up at Tanaina's parking lot would be best either on Fridays at 1:00 - 1:30  PM or Sundays at 1:00 - 1:30 PM. I will look at the results and email, and post on this site, the pick up date and time on April 1st, Wednesday evening.

This week you will notice that I am asking for students to return their completed work. Please put completed work back in their folders. When I deliver their new assignment folders (packets) at our pick up site, we will exchange their completed work in their old folders, with new materials in a new folder.

Lastly, our Zoom dates are scheduled for Tuesdays and Thursdays at 1:15 PM - 2:15 PM and on Fridays at 1:15 PM - 1:45 PM. During our Tuesday sessions, the focus will be on Reading and Language Arts. Our Thursday Zoom session will focus on Math, and Fridays will focus on either Art, History, Science, or Social and Emotional Learning.

This week, on Tuesday, please have the kiddos bring their white board, expo marker, Cause and Effect Weather Vane Craft Packet, and their color box (to include scissors, pencil, and glue). On Thursday, please have the kiddos bring their white board, expo marker, and go math completed work sheet pages: 9.1, 9.2, 9.3 and 9.4, and the centimeter ruler, paper clip and cube (provided in their tool baggie that was given with their assignment packet at pick up this past weekend). And lastly, on Friday, please have the kiddos bring The Antonym Chicken Art Packet and their color box (to include scissors, pencil, and glue).

Well, it looks like it is going to be a very blustery day today, but the sun is shining and the first day of spring has already arrived. Please take care and continue to check the calendar tab each day for your child's daily assignment.

Dear Parents and Students,

Thank you for visiting on Zoom. So sorry I was unable to include a live video of myself, but I now know not to admit guests before I admit myself. Yep, definately a learning curve(LOL).

Needless to say, it was a pleasure to see you all. I especially admired the ease you navigated the mute/unmute tabs and willingly gave chat a go, most impressive. Thank you for your kind greetings to one another, I look forward to our Zoom Meetings next week.

Lastly I have added the last of this week's assignment to the calendar, just click on the calendar tab, click on the date, and the assignments are there. If you have questions about the assignment, click on the assignment, and more information will drop down.

I hope you are getting the chance to play outside and enjoy the warmer weather. Take care,

Mrs. Newcombe

Happy Friday!

I hope all is well, and you've all had the chance to pick up student's bag and academic tools if needed. I have had the pleasure of receiving valuable input from parents. Hopefully my phone line may be reached directly at this time, if not, please let me know. In addition, if your child had difficulty reaching the scholastic web page please try typing in the new web site I had added and the directions I included. And lastly, I found adding assignments under homework became confusing. Please go directly to the calendar tab, find the date, and click on the assignment for details. Whew, you have done amazing this week! Thank you for your grace as I have tried to naviagate through. :)

Next week I would like to visit with the kiddos in google classroom. I will set up google classroom this weekend, and I will verify directions before Sunday evening. The google classroom link is found in the district student web links, links the kiddos are already familiar with and ones they navigate using the first intials of first name and last with their student number. After clicking on Clever they choose their link of choice and they are set to go. If any of the kiddos wish to go to Core 5 Lexia and/or Moby Math please encourage them to do so!

Have a good weekend, I am looking forward to visiting with the kiddos in google next week!

I am updating my greeting to include my many thanks for your patience and kindness as we begin to naviagate academic success through technology and other forms of communication. Please know you may access student assignments by clicking on the home work tab and also the calendar tab. Notes that I will add throughtout the week can be found under the tab, weekly newsletter or news. Please have kiddos follow the daily assignments, and please do not have them work in their text books at this time.

Please give your kiddo a big hug and let them know I miss each one very much. We've got this!
