Welcome to 2nd Grade! My name is Hannah Howard. I am super excited to be teaching at Tanaina Elementary. This is my 6th year teaching at Tanaina and I love it! I expect my students to always do their best work, work cooperatively with their classmates, and be excellent bucket fillers.
I was born in Nome, Alaska and raised in Shishmaref, Alaska. My dad was an excellent teacher for 30+ years and my mother was an awesome stay at home mom. I received my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from the University of Alaska Fairbanks. I taught elementary for 13 years in the Bering Strait School District before moving to Wasilla. I started here as a librarian in the MatSu School District, but quickly moved back into the classroom.
I have three children, Ben, Hayden and Ryder with my husband Ben. I love spending time with my family and attending all of their basketball and football games. I also enjoy fishing, boating, baking and beading. I love the outdoors!
I look forward to being your child's teacher and working with you to make sure this year is successful, fun and meaningful. I am a huge advocate of making learning fun! I welcome, welcome, welcome parent volunteers in my classroom. If you are interested, please get a hold of me.
