MSBSD Music Curriculum
In the spring of 2025, the MSBSD reviewed the K-12 art and music standards and adopted new curricula for all of its art and music programs.
Elementary schools (excluding charter schools) will now use MusicPlay Online as their daily music curriculum. Secondary schools will use Sight Reading Factory and Alfred Publishing's Sound Innovations method books. Please check in with your student's music teacher for more information about the method books they are using.

Please note: The district tries to provide all the services below at every school, but due to staffing needs/scheduling, they may not all be provided at every school. Please contact your child's school if you have questions.
