    BookWink: Bookwink's mission is to inspire kids to read. Through podcasting and web video, we hope to connect kids in Grades 3 through 8 with books that will make them excited about reading. The videos are approximately 3 minutes long and are updated monthly. Each video booktalk is about a different topic, and additional read-alikes can be found on the Bookwink website. You can look for books by subject, grade level, author or title.

    Children's Books Online : The Rosetta Project This children's online library is a volunteer-driven project featuring scanned historical children's books. Many are translated into several languages.

    International Children's Digital Library The goal of ICDL is to create a digital library of more than 10,000 books in at least 100 languages that is freely available to children, teachers, librarians, parents, and scholars throughout the world via the Internet.

    Book Hive In the Zinger Tales section you can watch online videos of professional storytellers like Jackie Torrence, Doc McConnell, Tony Tallent, and Donna Washington telling traditional folk tales. Provided by the Public Library of Charlotte & Mecklenburg County.

    Storynory has a good size collection of interesting children stories. There are original stories as well as classic novels and fairy tales. The educational page has greek myths and Robin Hood stories and some others. The Junior stories page has books for those just learning to read. Downloads are very good quality MP3.

    Robert Munsch has about 60 books by Robert Munsch (and read by him) available for download in MP3 format.

    Project Gutenberg There are nearly 30,000 free books in the Project Gutenberg Online Book Catalog.
