College Goal Alaska

College Goal Alaska is a statewide program that provides free information and assistance to Alaskans who are applying for college financial aid. It brings financial aid professionals, primarily from state colleges and universities, together with other volunteers to help college-bound students and their families complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE)

If you are a resident of a WICHE state, you are eligible to request a reduced WUE tuition rate of 150% of the resident rate at more than 150 participating institutions in the West. WICHE states include: Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington, Wyoming, and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands. The ACT

The ACT is a national college admissions examination that consists of subject area tests in English, Mathematics, Reading, and Science. The ACT includes 215 multiple-choice questions and takes approximately 3 hours and 30 minutes to complete, including a short break (or just over four hours if you are taking the ACT Plus Writing). Online Registration can be completed through the ACT website.
