Yale Young Global Scholars (YYGS)
Posted by DOROTHY WILSON on 11/12/2021About YYGS:
YYGS is the most globally diverse summer academic enrichment program in the world, with students representing over 150 countries, including all 50+ U.S. states & territories. Each summer, students participate in 2-week sessions—with STEM, social sciences, humanities, and cross disciplinary tracks offered—and connect directly with Yale faculty, undergraduates, and graduate students. We are big and small at the same time, with over 2,000 students participating across 12 sessions, and a 12:1 student-to-teacher ratio. YYGS is committed to access, and each year we provide over $3.4 million in need-based financial aid, distributed equally to domestic and international students (over one-third of 2021 participants requested aid, and YYGS met over 99% of those requests in full).I wanted to personally invite you to review our 2022 YYGS program offerings, and to encourage you to share these opportunities with your networks, students, alumni, and families. You can learn more about our sessions, tuition & aid, marketing materials, how to apply (including full application preview), and more online. Please feel free to contact YYGS any time, either by replying to this email or by filling out our contact us form. -
Oberlin College
Posted by DOROTHY WILSON on 10/14/2021$10,000 Oberlin Commitment
Last year, Oberlin introduced the renewable $10,000 Oberlin Commitment Scholarship to ease the burden of the high cost of college. We are happy to announce that we will continue this award for all new students who apply and enroll in the College of Arts & Sciences and/or the Conservatory of Music in fall 2022. This commitment reflects Oberlin’s historic, ongoing efforts to broaden educational access. Here’s more info about this renewable scholarship.
Oberlin meets 100% of demonstrated financial need for all admitted students, so financial aid applicants may receive additional funding. And all admitted students, regardless of financial need, will be considered for additional merit scholarships. -
