Degrees and Certifications:
My name is Angela Clark and I teach secondary classes here at Mat-Su Day School. This is my 3rd year working at MDS and I am thoroughly enjoying working here and getting to know your students! I grew up in El Toro, California near Laguna Beach. After high school I attended college at the University of Montana and moved to Alaska in 2000 to begin my teaching career. I met my husband in Alakanuk AK, a small Yupik village in the Lower Yukon region. We raised our 3 children in Mountain Village and Sheldon Point AK and transitioned to the Mat-Su Valley in 2013.
My previous experience includes working as a middle school teacher at Teeland Middle School and teaching students in the Lower Yukon School District (grades 3-8). I also worked as the Title VI Alaska Native/American Indian Education Coordinator for MSBSD, organizing school and community activities for students and families. I graduated from the University of Montana, Missoula in 1999 and I'm continuing my studies in Special Education through UAA.
