Mr. Lee Morgan
I will be starting my 23rd year of teaching this year, my fifth at Snowshoe Elementary. Prior to life in Alaska, my wife and our 7 children lived in the state of Arizona; so far it has been a much "cooler" experience. My teaching experience includes years as a general education classroom teacher and a special education teacher. I was in a 6th grade classroom for 2 years which involved rotating classes. I was a then a 4th grade for 8 years while doubling as the middle schools' athletic director and 3 time league champion boys basketball coach. I made the switch to special education as a resource teacher working with all areas of disability for all of K-8 over an 8 year span. During this time, I served on a behavior referral team to address difficult behaviors on that school's campus. I hold current dual certification as both general education and special education. I graduated with my Bachelor's Degree for Elementary Education from Arizona Christian University, completed the Teacher In Residence Program for Cross Category Special Education through Rio Salado College, and hold a Master's Degree in Special Education from Northcentral University. This will be my fifth year in the Behavior Support Program here at Snowshoe Elementary School. I look forward to building upon the great amount of success we have had with student academic achievement, behavior management, effective coping skills to replace negative behaviors, and proper social skills while working with others.
