Mr. Lee Morgan
I will be entering my 21st year of teaching this year, my third at Snowshoe Elementary. We are currently enjoying year 3 of living in the great state of Alaska. We previously resided in the state of Arizona; it has been a much "cooler" experience thus far. I have previously taught in the general education classroom in 6th grade for 2 years and 4th grade for 8 years. I made the switch to special education and have taught resource for all of K-8 at one point over the last 8 years working with a wide variety of disabilities and needs. I hold dual certification for both general education and special education, along with a Bachelor's Degree for Elementary Education and a Master's Degree in Special Education. I am entering my third year in the Behavior Support Program here at Snowshoe. I look forward to building upon the great amount of success we had over the last two years with student academic achievement and behavior management, effective coping skills, and proper social skills when working with others.
November 27, 2018 Update:
My classroom and I wish to announce and share that I am the recipient of the Sanford Teacher Award from National University System. I am the winner representing the state of Alaska! I am very honored to be a part of this distinguished group of 50+ inspirational teachers across the country. Thank You @NationalUniversity System for selecting me for this great honor. Thank you Snowshoe Elementary School for creating a culture of inspiring teaching. Thank you parents and students for partnering with me. This would not be possible without all of your support!
