I was born and raised in Puerto Rico. I graduated from Universidad del Sagrado Corazon with my Bachelors in Elementary Education and went on to receive my Master’s in Education from Universidad El Turabo. I moved to Alaska in the summer of 2015 with my husband Héctor and our 2 children. I love all my students past and present. I believe the base of education is mutual respect and love. I love a phrase by Nelson Mandela "Education is the most powerful weapon we can use to change the world." If we want the relationship with our students to be communicative and respectful, this requires patient and ongoing work on our parts in each of educational stages. My favorite thing to do on the weekends is to spend time with my family as we explore Alaska and find new hobbies together.
