     Katie Peal

    Mrs. Katie Peal

I was born and raised in Minnesota and have been in Alaska the last 16 years.  I graduated from St. Cloud State University in Minnesota with a degree in Special Education.  I have spent time on the Kenai Peninsula teaching in both middle school and high school in Nikiski.  In 2008, I moved to the Valley and taught at Colony Middle School before moving to Career Tech.  When the opportunity presented itself to start the Partners' Program I just could not pass it up.  I'm dedicated to seeing students reach their full potential.  Nothing makes me more excited than seeing students work hard, have fun and move on to independent fulfilling work.

In my free time I enjoy camping, reading, hiking, and spending time with friends and family.

I was born and raised here in Ak, and after marrying my beautiful bride, have lived in the MatSu valley for 12 years. I have worked for the district 11 years, the past 6 of those as a SPED assistant at CTHS. Working with our students is a big part of my life. Seeing their potential, and helping them reach new heights in their lives, is what the Partner's Program is all about. Our students are awesome!

Outside of the classroom, I commercial fish each summer in Bristol Bay, enjoy camping and recreating with my family, ride sleds, fatbikes, and pretty much love being outdoors.

No lauguage on earth speaks such volumes as the silence of nature.

Great, old bull. He was a dandy.
