Mrs. Rita Schexnayder
I have been a language educator since 2002 when I started teaching college Spanish at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque. I was born in Russia and raised in Armenia, which allowed me to grow up bilingual. I graduated with my bachelor's and master's degrees in English and Spanish language education before I moved to the USA. Here I continued my education by getting another master's degree in linguistics at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque. My husband's job brought us to Alaska 13 years ago and we have enjoyed this beautiful state ever since. We have three daughters who love music, adventures, and learning Russian! I am honored to be serving the community of parents, students and teachers in the Mat-Su valley schools as an English Learner instructional support teacher.
Please, feel free to give me a call and send me an email, should you have any questions, concerns or suggestions on how to better serve you and your student.
