Mr. Stephen Martin

Born and raised in Alaska, I have a deep appreciation for the adventurous lives most of us live. The ultimate goal is for my students to come away from my class with improved problem solving skills which they will be able to translate into a healthy lifestyle. I also hope to impart on my students a sense of work ethic, honor, and self advocation. I'm excited to teach at Redington Jr/Sr High School and be part of this amazing community. The students, staff, and administration, create a phenomenal atmosphere that can't be duplicated anywhere else. This year will be my Fourth year coaching football for the Huskies, and I can't wait to see us build on the success of last season! I also coach crossfit and flag football.

I hope everyone is as excited as I am for this adventure!

The general recommendation is for kids to get at least 60 minutes of moderate physical activity each day, however, please keep the following guidlines in mind:

1) I AM NOT requiring 60 minutes of activity everyday. That is the recommended amount. We only have class every other day, but it would be great if you were active everyday reguardless!

2) Length of workouts vary. The shorter they are, the more intense they should be. Example of a short one: 7 min of burpees (as fast as you can). Example of a long one (20-30 min circuit with breaks built in-plus a warm up and cool down/stretch after)

3) Other activities like snowboarding or hiking are not workouts but are great physical activities so go explore!

Late Work: 

I will try to be as flexible as I can with late work, please just let me know if you're planning on turning assignments in late or if you need extra assistance.

Make up work:

On Google classroom will be make up assignments for if you miss class for any reason including school closure. 


Grades will be entered daily and synced to synergy every Tuesday and Thursday if not daily.
