Degrees and Certifications:
Welcome to Dena'ina Elementary School! The 2021-2022 school year marks my 10th year teaching in Alaska, and I am looking forward to many adventures and all the fun we will have together in third grade.
In 2008, I graduated from the State University of New York, Oswego, with my B.S. in Elementary Education. After spending a summer working in Alaska at a girl scout camp, I returned to New York in the fall to start graduate school. In 2011, I earned my M.S. in Inclusive Education from Nazareth College in Rochester, New York.
A little about me:
Born and raised outside of Buffalo, New York, I'm no stranger to harsh winter conditions! After graduate school I took a position with ASD and have been living in Alasaka ever since. I met my husband shortly after moving to Alaska and we are thrilled to call the mat-su valley home. We spend our time together outside- camping, snowmachining and going on side by side adventures. In my spare time I enjoy reading, gardening, hiking and spending time with friends and family.
Please contact me if you ever have questions or concerns. I'm very passionate about education and in my belief that all students are able to make growth and should feel safe and comfortable at school.
