About Mrs. Anderson

A teacher is who I am rather than a place of employment. I take pride in my profession and am honored to work alongside some of the best! Having the ability to adapt and be proactive are my strengths. It is important to be flexible when teaching students as they all are individuals with their own unique background and set of strengths/weaknesses. I try my best to create relationships with my students that encourage mutual respect, trust, and understanding. There is more to teaching than learning the subject material as we also encourage our kids to learn how to be their "best" self. While I am very passionate about teaching science, I also place a high value on character education.

Hobbies & Interests

I love spending time with family and friends. We enjoy many outdoor activities together - traveling, fishing, shrimping, camping, hiking, 4-wheeling, snow-machining, skiing, gardening (and the list goes on!!). I also enjoy reading and especially exploring questions that randomly pop in my head! I like to search the internet, look in books, or ask the experts as I look for answers. I suppose I am curious by nature and am so thankful for "google"!!
