Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Gina Marchini

I was born and raised in Glennallen, Alaska. I attended Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington, and graduated in 2003 with a major in Special Education, as well as endorsements in Reading, Elementary Education, and Early Childhood Education.

After graduation I taught a remedial and enrichment program for one year in Portland, Maine, before returning to Alaska. Upon my return I spent two years teaching Special Education, Preschool through 3rdgrade, in Cordova. During that time I also completed a Master’s degree in Education with a focus in Reading and Literacy. After leaving Cordova I moved to Delta Junction where I taught kindergarten for seven years. Upon moving to the Matanuska-Susitna Valley,  I held a resource room position at Meadow Lakes Elementary followed by two years teaching Kindergarten there.  I feel so fortunate to have been here at Dena'ina Elementary for the opening of this wonderful school.  Now I'm loving teaching at Dena'ina!
