Trish Zugg currently teaches the Cisco Networking Academy CCENT & CCNA courses to MSBSD district-wide students. This program is housed at CTHS.  She teaches these courses in the afternoons and works in the CTE Department office at the district administration building in the mornings.  The district CTE Department assignment gives her an opportunity to work with an energetic and proactive team on systemic level support of CTE programs for all of MSBSD schools.

Trish Zugg has taught in the Business/Information Technology discipline for the past 21 years.  Before entering the education field she spent time working in industry for both the Oil & Gas Industry and in the Accounting & Administrative Support Sector.  These relevant industry experiences create a great first hand knowledge for teaching the importance of good Employability Skills and helping students to develop and improve upon these "Soft Skills".  A tidbit you might not know about her; while working in Alaska's Prudhoe Bay Oilfield, she might have been found driving semi-trucks, front-end loaders, and experiencing work while exposed to 40 below zero weather.

Career and Technical Education (CTE) has been a focus of Trish's education career since day 1.  Trish spent many years preparing for and helping plan the opening of the Mat-Su Career & Technical High School.  After being open for 8 years and wildly popular as a school of choice, she was again privileged to work seamlessly with a team helping to add three more pathways to Mat-Su through a state of the art $16M community supported expansion.  In support of her CTE work, she holds a bachelors in Accounting, a masters in Career & Technical Education, is a Certified Cisco Network Associate (CCNA) and a Certified Academy Instructor (CCAI).  She has served multiple terms as President for the Alaska Association for Career and Technical Education, has served on MSBSD’s Curriculum Council and is an active member in national level CTE associations.  Trish was awarded the 2007 Alaska Career & Technical Education Teacher of the Year, is a BP Teacher of Excellence, and was Mat-Su’s 2014-2105 Teacher of the Year.  She accepted these awards with humility and has great respect for the professionals and wonderfully accomplished colleagues she works with daily.

Mrs. Zugg’s other full-time job is dedicated to her husband and three daughters.  Her family enjoys time together snow machining to their cabin in the woods, traveling, hiking, camping, fishing, exploring technology, reading and loving life!
