Quill & Scroll SocietyInternational Honorary Society for High school Journalists - Quill and Scroll was organized April 10, 1926, by a group of high school advisers for the purpose of encouraging and recognizing individual student achievement in journalism and scholastic publication.
Since its founding, charters have been granted to more than 13,875 high schools in all 50 states and 41 foreign countries. Members of the CHS Chapter must meet the following criteria:
Students inducted to the Q & Scroll Society enjoy lifetime benefits including Honors recognition at graduation both cord and diploma seal, as well as academic opportunities such as writing evaluations, submission and scholarship opportunities by professional journalists and schools of Journalism throughout the country.
- Ranked in the top 1/3 of their graduating class
- Enrolled in Journalism or Yearbook for at least 2 years
- Be an Editor or Section Editor of a Publication
