New York Life Insurance Open Enrollment Information
Open enrollment for Term Life Insurance and Accidental Death & Dismemberment Insurance through New York Life is available through June 30, 2025.
- Guaranteed Issuance and no Evidence of Insurability required for coverage up to $50,000

The District provides life insurance through New York Life for employees who work a minimum of 10 hours per week as follows:
- Classified Employees: $15,000
- Certified Employees: $50,000
- Administrative Employees: $150,000
Special Open Enrollment Opportunity - Additional Coverage Available
New this year! The District has partnered with New York Life to offer a special open enrollment period from May 1, 2025, through June 30, 2025.
During this special enrollment period, employees who work a minimum of 10 hours per week can purchase additional Term Life Insurance coverage - up to $50,000 - with guaranteed approval. No evidence of insurability is required for this amount. Employees also have the option to add coverage for Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D).
NOTE: Additional coverage amounts beyond $50,000 will require underwriting and are not guaranteed.
