If you like to read and talk about what you read, then consider Battle of the Books.
Students in grades 3-5 are welcome to participate here at Shaw. (Students who are going to middle school in our district need to use the middle school list, even if you are going to be in 6th grade.)  In general, what is Battle of the Books? You read preselected books and answer questions about the books by answering with the title and author's name.  The list of books to read is a great selection of books!  Your school forms a team which will compete against other school teams. The district battle will be held in early February.  Don't wait to start reading!!!  You can checkout these books in the library.  Happy Reading!
