    The most important things you can do this week: sleep, eat well, drink plenty of fluids

    Start preparing mentally now.

    You can do this!  We have done very difficult things together and this weekend we will show how tough we are!!

    It will be COLD and WET in Seward!  BRING LOTS OF LAYERS!  BRING RED, BLACK AND GREY!!!

    We will be staying at Seward High School - bring sleeping gear, extra running gear, uniform, long sleeves, gloves, hat, etc…

     

    Practices will be short and sweet this week.

     

    Mon: 3 -4pm WHS

    Tue: 3-4:15pm Bumpus; 5pm Team dinner (soup+) at Edgerton’s

    Wed: 3-4:30pm Farm

    Thu: 3-4:30pm Sherrod

    Friday, Sept 29

    12:00pm Leave WHS

    12:15 Stop at Career Tech to pick up athletes

    1:30pm Stop in Anchorage for bathroom break at Carrs on Huffman

    4:00pm Arrive at Seward High School (2100 Swetman St - Take Bear after Safeway)(Have running gear easily accessible)

    6:00pm Dinner at Seward High

    -Team Meeting at 9:00pm

    -Lights out at 10:00pm

     

    Saturday, Sept 30

    8:30am  Wake-Up and breakfast

    10:00am Coaches meeting (athletes set-up tent, rooms packed up, BUS NEEDED FOR STUDENTS)  School is not open during races (we will find a warm place for you!)

     

    BOYS THEN GIRLS races:

    11:00am Boys Open race

    11:45am Girls Open Race

    1:15pm D1 Boys Varsity Race

    2:45pm D1 Girls Varsity Race

    4:00pm Awards

     

    4:30pm Safeway in Seward

    5:00pm Leave Seward

    8:00pm Arrive back at Wasilla High

     

    **Dinner on Friday will be paid with team money from boosters:

    Qdoba hot food (meat/rice/veggies/sides - CHIPS)**

     

    Breakfast will be provided: pancakes, eggs, bagels and fruit.  Please feel free to bring any other items you would like to have for breakfast.

     

    Athletes will need to plan on supplying lunch.  We will have items available such as PB and J  fixings, bagels, granola bars and trail mix, but lunch will be very important to plan beforehand.

    Know what works for you and make plans to have it prepared.

     

    We will have coolers to use for cold item storage

    Pancake mix (BIG one from Three Bears)

    Syrup (Coach Varys has this)

    Peanut Butter (1 large jar - we do have peanut allergies)

    Jelly (1 large jar)
