MTA, GCI, and ACS are offering some great programs for families during this time. MTA is offering free upgrades and GCI is offering free packages for families with students during this school closure or free upgrades. ACS is offering free packages for families with students. This could open up some great opportunities for all of us! Additional Information
Our Google Classroom has moved. The move to a new Google Classroom created a platform just for distance learning that is easier to navigate and find information without looking at old work and messages from previous quarters. Please have your child sign in to the new Google Classroom. They may delete or remove the old Google Classroom.
This week is an extra credit week. All work done over the week of March 23-27 will count as extra credit. I recommend students spending a half-hour daily working on reading, see Google Classroom. This will slowly get them into the routine of doing school at home and the benefit of some extra credit
System44 or Read180 Software
Ebooks-on HMH and quizzes
Reading books and filling out logs- (Summary of each chapter and your thoughts on the chapter).
Online Classes--to test out live online classes(to be announced this week)
It will be the platform we will use to provide online distance learning.
Have your child check back regularly on Google Classroom for messages, online classes, videos, and lessons. There will be some happening next week. Regularly scheduled classes will begin on March 30th. If you do get internet over the next few weeks please let the school know so we can adjust your student’s instructional plans.
Please contact me with any questions or concerns. My contact information is email@example.com, 907-864-5464. I will be contacting you and/or your student on a regular basis via email, Google Classroom, Zoom, and phone calls. Please make sure all of your contact information is up to date on ParentVue.
