    It's almost the weekend friends!  

    I hope you have been enjoying the sunny days as much as I have!  There are so many things to do outside!  Biking, walking, gardening, jumping on a trampoline, or even just playing in the yard!  Get out and get ACTIVE!!!

    A couple things for you to try this week!!

  • Almost there!!

    We are getting to the end of the school year!  Even in quarantine it went pretty fast!  

    Next week would have been our school Field Day.  I'm missing it as much as you are.  For fun this week, DESIGN YOUR OWN FIELD DAY STATION!!!  Create it and the rules, and then send me an email of your idea at brandy.bishop@matsuk12.us.  Who knows, we may use it next year!  

    Some other fun ideas this week. Check out the picture below for some Tic Tac Toe Fitness!  What activities can you do to make a Tic Tac Toe?  Can you change the exercises in each area?

  • It's a Long Weekend

    It's a three day weekend!!  And there are only 2 weeks of school left!!  It's gone by fast, even in this crazy time we are having.

    Here are a couple of ideas for you to try this weekend if you need things to do.

    Outdoor Scavenger Hunt

    Print a copy of this picture or take a screenshot with your phone and go on an adventure in your neighborhood and look for these items!

    These next couple of pictures are a TABATA workout!  You do each exercise for 20 seconds, then take a 10 second rest.  Each picture has 6 Tabatas on it.  I downloaded a free Tabata Timer app on my phone which beeps at me for each section.  It makes it nice so I don't have to stare at the stopwatch.

  • Happy Star Wars Day!!

    Happy Star Wars Day friends!  (It's May the 4th, get it?)


    I hope you have all been spending time outside and getting LOTS of exercise!  If you need ideas, check here and look at the posts since we have been at home for fun ideas to do!  

    This week, I want you to try this AMRAP (As Many Rounds As Possible).  Look at the picture and do ALL the exercises on there, that's 1 round.  How many Rounds can you do in 5 minutes?  Or 10 minutes if you really want a challenge?  Do the same exercises again another day.  Did you do more rounds this time, or less?  Try exercises from both pictures.  Did you have one you liked better?

  • New Ideas on PE at home!!

    It's kind of a cloudy Thursday, but there are still lots of opportunities to get MOVING!!  Some fun ideas for you today!!

    Happiest of Mondays to you all!  I hope you enjoyed this SUNNY weekend we had and were able to get out and get ACTIVE!  

    Just a reminder that your April Healthy Futures Calendars are DUE by FRIDAY this week!!  Take a picture of the calendar and email it to me at brandy.bishop@matsuk12.us  I will be drawing the GRAND PRIZE winner this weekend!  Get your calendars in on time!

    Here is something fun to do while walking around your neighborhood!  Bingo!  Print this off if you can, or just take a picture with a phone so you know what items you are trying to find.

    Hello Friends!  Here are a few new ideas to try this week!  

    As the PE teacher, I know you are all using your screens and devices A LOT more than usual right now, so here are some ideas you can do WITHOUT using your screen!!

    Non Screen Activities


    Does your family like to play Cards?  Or UNO?  Use those cards for some exercise!!  Assign each color or card suit an exercise and when you flip over the card do that number of the exercise!!This picture is an example using Uno cards, but you can find something similar for a regular deck!  If you don't like these exercises, switch it for a different one!

  • Rainy Monday Fun

    It's the start of a brand new week of online learning!!  It's kind of cold and rainy today, so here are some fun indoor ideas you can do!  Don't forget to fill out those exercise calendars!  You can find another April calendar below this post if you need a new one!  Or, just make your own!

    Exercise is always better with MUSIC!  Watch this video and exercise with Mrs. Bishop to a fun song!!

  • Thursday Fitness Ideas

    Happy Rainy Thursday Friends!

    I've got some fun new fitness ideas for you to try while you are at home!

    This first activity is super fun!  It uses a fidget spinner if you have one, and then you need to print out the boards that you can find HERE and HERE.  No printer or spinner?  No problem!  You can make your OWN spinner using a paper plate, thumb tack and paper clip!  Watch the video below to learn how to play the game!!

    Here is another great activity!  Use this picture to go on a scavenger hunt outside!  Make sure you have a grownup go with you on these so they can get moving too!  Can you find all of them?

    What are you doing at home to keep your mind healthy?  Getting exercise is a great way to keep your body healthy, but don't forget the rest of your body as well!  Check out this picture for some Self Care!

  • Exercise Opportunities

    It's a SUNNY day today!  What are you doing to get ACTIVE?  Going for a walk, playing outside, and riding your bike are all great ways to get those hearts pumping and get healthy bodies!  

    In class right now, grades 2-5 would be working on Fitness Testing.  For those that would like to practice your skills, watch this video of correct ways to work these skills from home.
