• Integrating Academics into CTE Courses

By combining technical skill development based on industry standards with content knowledge from related academic subjects (English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science or Social Studies), academics are made relevant to students.  Asking "where will I ever use this math" or science, or language arts is a common questions students ask.  Career and Technical Education courses are a great avenue to answer that questions and to add relevance to all learning.  Learning moves into a contextual hands-on style which can be very enlightening for many if not most learners.  Many of our CTE courses are great avenues to receive academic elective credit in areas of math, science, language arts, and social studies.
