We will be using RAZ kids when we go to the computer lab as a class and individually in our classroom this year.  RAZ kids is a program that allows books to be read to students out loud as well as lets them read their own book.  As the year progresses students will be able to take a quiz after each book they read.

RAZ kids books are very interactive and fun for students.  If your child is interested in reading some stories from RAZ kids at home they go to www.razkids.com

Then they type in the username which is chellep.  They look for their name (because each student has individualized books for themself) they find their name and click on the shape.  When it asks for a password ours is the turtle.  I always prefer for students to sit down and read with a real book but this option is available if families are interested.

If you have any questions just let me know. :)
