Degrees and Certifications:

Mr. Skip Davenport

I came from an engineering background and have worked in the chemistry field for many years.  I spent 3 1/2 years with Lockheed at NASA at the White Sands Test Facility in New Mexico.  They paid for my schooling and employed me while I went to school.  I came to Alaska and was hired in Arco's Prudhoe Bay Engineering section.  I switched over to Production and got to help run Flow Station #2 for many years.  When Arco was bought in 2000 by Conoco/Phillips, I was able to take a severance package and start another career..  I became a house-husband for several years before my wife insisted I look for another job.  I went back to school and secured a teaching certificate and have been teaching since 2004.  My wife and I love kids and have been able to work within the community and our school to help in this field.  I have two adult children who are currently finishing their educations.  We still do a lot of things as a family and get together whenever we can.
