  • WILLOW EXTENDED SCHOOL YEAR SUMMER SCHOOL: JUNE 29-JULY 17

    Lucy Hope, Student Support Services' Director, wants families to know that summer school at Willow Elem begins June 29, and continues through July 17. The five-day three-week program was delayed due to the Sockeye Fire. There will be no classes on July 3 (in observance of the 4th of July Independence Day holiday).   • MSBSD 2015-2016 REGISTRATION IS OPEN

    Due to system maintenance, through July 15, you may experience some delays in online registration. Online registration for all Mat-Su students, returning or new to our District, including kindergarten students, is available. Registration for all fall athletics opens July 15. Payment of all course and activity fees will also begin July 15. Boundary maps are available from Transportation.

  • MSBSD PROJECT SEARCH HIGHLIGHTED AT PAC RIM CONFERENCE

    Mary Putnam, Mat-Su Borough School District Transition Specialist for Student Support Services Department, attended the Pac Rim International Conference with Amber Finley, Project SEARCH teacher, and Cathy Babuscio, Mat-Su Regional Medical Center Human Resources Director.   • MSBSD HONORS 62 RETIREES, "MAKING GREAT THINGS HAPPEN"

    "Mat-Su is a great District because we have great people who support its operation each and every day," said School Board President, Susan Pougher. Superintendent, Dr. Deena Paramo, agreed, saying, "It takes all of our District to make dreams a reality for our students.   • BURCHELL HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS HAVE OPTIONS OF FIVE ACADEMIES THIS SUMMER

    Principal Adam Mokelke announced that BHS students may participate in summer academies: Advance Path, Freedom Writers, Adventure, Medical/Forensic, and Archeology Field. Working with Dr. Nevis at Mat-Su College, funded by the 21st Century Learning Center grant, students are engaged in the medical-forensic academy.
