  • Response to Instruction/Multi-Tiered System of Support is a framework providing high-quality instruction and interventions matched to student need. The term MTSS refers to a way of looking at student progress over time to see if efforts to help a student are working. Students are more successful when their individual needs are addressed as early as possible.

     

    • RTI-MTSS is the problem-solving framework designed to help schools focus on strategic instruction using data to inform decisions.
    • RTI-MTSS provides high quality, research-proven instruction and intervention based on individual student needs.
    • RTI-MTSS uses assessment data to frequently monitor progress of students in order to make decisions about how and what to teach them.
    • RTI-MTSS creates a system that focuses on success for all learners. This includes the use of interventions, extensions, or acceleration based on student needs.
