Mrs. Brouillard's Homework CornerHomework is an important part of your child's day. Not only does it engage your child in a routine, but homework also allows your child to practice the skills they are learning at school. Homework should not take more that 20 minutes a day. If you and your child are having difficulty completing the tasks in 20 minutes, please email or call me at school and I will be happy to talk to you about making modifications to your child's work.Reading Fluency -Every Monday, your child will come home with a passage that he/she should read to you for 1 minute. This task should be done Monday-Thursday. As each night passes, your child's goal is to read more words correctly and understand the meaning of the passage.Reading/Language Arts- Your child will come home with a weekly reading log. Please record the number of minutes your child read.Math- Your student will come home with a math page reviewing different math skills at the second grade level. The extra practice will help your child be the best mathematician they can be. If you have any questions, please contact me. I am here to help make your child's year in second grade the very best it can firstname.lastname@example.org
