Degrees and Certifications:

Mr. Brooke

My name is Mr. Brooke. I was born in Woodstock, IL, grew up in Arlington, TX, and moved to Alaska in 1997.

I graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 1996 with a BA in Communications. I worked in film and television from 1996-2001. I spent time with both the CBS and ABC affiliates in Anchorage as Chief Editor of the news and Inside Alaska, Sports Reporter, and Photographer. From 2005-2010 I owned my own video production business and worked with the school district at Colony Middle School and filmed the Colony High School Graduations.

From 2001-2011 I worked for Anchorage Community Mental Health and Denali Family Services as a classroom behavioral support assistant. In 2011 I decided to go back to school and get my Master's in Teaching. I graduated May of 2013 from The University of Alaska Southeast. I taught 4th grade at Pionner Peak Elementary for two years. At Redington I teach Middle School Media Skills, 6th grade PE, and High School Video Production, Yearbook, and Aviation. I'm also the head High School Boy's Basketball Coach.
In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family (Mrs. Brooke, Kindergarten Teacher at Pioneer Peak, Hannah, 10th grade, and Sebastian, 7th grade), reading, hiking, camping, playing golf, and enjoying all that Alaska has to offer.
