v Honors English 2 is a yearlong Pre-AP course designed for students with specific interests in an accelerated curriculum in Language Arts and for those students looking to advance to AP Literature and Composition, and AP Language and Composition. The course of studies parallels the established curriculum of English 2; however, Honors English 2 has more emphasis on advanced writing skills, frequent discussion, and critical reading and thinking strategies. The study of literary classics, rhetorical analysis, literary analysis, active discussion, and expository writing will be stressed. We follow the Grade Level Expectations and standards set for us by the State of Alaska and our Mat-Su School District in the area of Language Arts.Assignments and Handouts:I run this classroom through Google Classroom.
