JROTC CADET LEADERSHIP CAMP & FRESHMEN ORIENTATION 2017
WHEN: 29 May – 02 June 2018
WHERE: Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson / Camp Carroll, Alaska
WHAT: Develop self-confidence and team work in a safe and secure environment. Our training schedule includes rappelling, land navigation, obstacle course, water safety, physical training, drill and ceremony, jump tower, helicopter orientation flights as available, etc. Meals provided in the Fort Richardson Dining Facility or Meals Ready to Eat (MRE).
WHO: All Cadets who are members of CHS JROTC or enrolling freshmen joining JROTC this upcoming year at Colony High School.
COSTS: $110.00; includes everything (Room, board, transportation, etc.) except spending money. (Cadets should not bring any more than $50.00 for snack food). Each Cadet will be issued a CHS JROTC sweatshirt, sweatpants, T-shirt and a baseball cap which will be theirs to keep.
Parents / guardians are welcome to visit anytime during the day. Keep in mind the Cadets will be on the go everyday and some evenings, so please coordinate your visit in advance. Cadets will sleep in barracks with separate male / female sleeping areas and sanitary facilities monitored by adult instructors.
