You may have received communication about this already, but the deadline for UA Scholars to apply to a University of Alaska school has been postponed from May 1st to August 15th: “For the high school graduating class of 2021, the May 1st deadline has been extended to August 15, 2021. This is the last day that undergraduate admissions applications will be accepted for designated UA Scholars to reserve their award.”

In addition to the financial aid workshops being provided by Mat-Su College over Zoom, there are two additional opportunities for students to get assistance with financial aid and the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA):

  • Whitworth University

Posted by DOROTHY WILSON on 4/12/2021

It's important to note that Whitworth University's intention is to resume normal operations for the 2021 Fall Term, including unrestricted occupancy in campus residence halls and a full array of in-person classes and co-curricular experiences. These are important and valuable aspects of a Whitworth education of mind and heart, and ones we demonstrated this year that we can do safely.

If students/families are looking for more information before they apply, they're encouraged to join us for an in-person or virtual visit event. Learn more at whitworth.edu/visit. Or, they can always reach out to our team with questions at admissions@whitworth.edu.

Please let us know if you have any questions at all. Our team is always here to help.

    EWS Application SY2021

The purpose of the Educator's Workshop (EWS) is to educate, mentor, and provide educators the opportunity to explore the path young men and women take to earn the title of United States Marine.

EWS is a 5 day workshop in San Diego, California taking place this year from July 26-30. Lodging, meals, and transportation are all provided by the Marine Corps. EWS is comprised of an overview of martial arts training that Marines undergo, a Marine Corps Band performance, Marine Corps history lessons, educational opportunities for Marines, an overview of the recruit training obstacle courses, and much more. Participants in this workshop also have the opportunity to meet new Marines who have recently completed recruit training.

Please see the attached 2021 Educators Workshop Brochure. I have also attached the 2019 Cruise Book that depicts examples of events that take place at the EWS.

Lastly, I have attached the 2021 EWS application for any and all those FNSBSD Colony High School staff members that would like to attend.

These applications are due April 16th.
