I want to say that I apreciate all of your flexability, and patience with me as we go into remote educations. Google Classroom is the platform in which we will conduct class for the time being. All students have been imported into my classroom, so they just need to get on google classroom and they should see their science class.

If they are using a school chromebook then they just need to click on the Google Classroom Icon GC icon  to get into the classroom.
If they are using personal computers, they can either go to the student links on matsuk12.us or they can go to classroom.google.com and log in using their student credintials.

Below is my distance education plan. If you have any needs or questions, feel free to email me at alexandria.byrd@matsuk12.us.

The State of Alaska has closed school campuses through May 1, 2020, and potentially longer. I will be continuing to provide you with education through distance courses (google classroom) starting March 23, 2020. Please keep in mind that this is a dynamic situation and all this information is subject to change.

    Redington’s weekly class schedule:

Mondays and Wednesdays: English and Social Studies
Tuesdays and Thursdays: Math and Science
    Fridays: Elective Courses

    Goggle Classroom Rundown:

Assignments will be posted weekly with the heading of "Week of _________". I have had several students who have expressed interest in working ahead so the following week's assignments will be posted on the Wednesday of the current week. However, students are only responsible for the current week's work.

There will be 2 types of assignments, Essential and Extension. Essential assignments will be graded and entered into Parent/StudentVUE. Extension assignments are optional. They will help develop a student's understanding of the topic but will not be graded.

Students who will be utilizing paper packets, will be mailed their coursework. Returned assignments need to be dropped off at RJS, there is a mailbox in the front of the building for you to drop off your work.
