Teacher Bio:  I have lived in Alaska for most of my life.  My family moved to Palmer in 1976, and I graduated Palmer High in 1985.  I earned a B.A. in biology with a French minor from the Colorado College in 1989.  I had several interesting science-related jobs while going to graduate school, including working on a stream-survey crew with the USDA Forest Service in North Bend, WA.  I received my Masters of Arts in Teaching with an emphasis in secondary science from UAA in 1994.  I am highly qualified and endorsed to teach grades 8-12 biology and physical science.  I became certified to teach AP Biology through the College Board in 2001.  I have taught several different science courses from Anatomy and Physiology to Zoology, first at Colony High School from 1994-2008, then at Wasilla High from 2008-2014, at Valley Pathways School 2014-2015 and now at Tech.
