CTHS BPA Team Wins National Virtual Business Competition
For the first time ever, Alaska entered a team in a nationwide Virtual Business competition sponsored through Business Professionals of America. The team consisted of three members from Mat-Su Career and Technical High School’s Chapter of Business Professionals of America (BPA) located in Wasilla, Alaska.  The business team members, Kharissa Chasse, Mikayla Provo, and Sierra Woodall ran a virtual computer repair shop during a virtual repeatable three month on-line timeframe.  March 3-20, 2015 was the actual time spent in competition with other BPA student members from around the nation. The goal was to make more money than the other competing teams. Although neck and neck throughout the whole competition; in fact even up to the last ten minutes, the Alaska team placed FIRST in this national competition.  Over 40 teams competed for the prize of $1,000.
