          • Volleyball

            Volleyball Season is underway!

            Volleyball started on Monday, January 13th.  Practices are after school from 3:45pm-5:00pm on MONDAYS, WEDNESDAYS and THURSDAYS.

            Native Youth Olympics District Meet

             

            NYO Athletes will be taking part in the NYO District Meet at Houston JR/SR High on Friday, January 31st (5th and 6th Grade Events) and Saturday, February 1st (1st-4th Grade Events). They will compete in the following events:

             

            • Eskimo Stick Pull 
            • Two Foot High Kick (Boys)  
            • Two Foot High Kick (Girls) 
            • One Foot High Kick (Girls) 
            • Seal Hop 
            • Arm Pull 
            • Kneel Jump
            • Wrist Carry

          • Thank United Way, Project Thrive!

            Project Thrive grant money is helping our Larson students build independence and personal health and wellness.  The grant is helping to support family education and skill building outside of the school setting.  Students are learning to thrive in an environment that suppports healthy choices. Thank you, Project Thrive!

          • A BIG Thank You to Brant S.! 

            Brant S

             

            Brandt, a student at Wasilla Middle School, built a beautiful leader board for the Larson Elementary Physical Education Department.  This service project is part of Brandt's journey to becoming an Eagle Scout.  This board will be a wonderful addition to our gym and will showcase the students that excel in physical education class!

            Basketball Jamboree Fun!

            The boys basketball team participated in the Jamboree on Saturday, November 9th.  Out of the four games played, they tied two games, won one, and lost one.  The girls basketball team participated in the Jamboree on Saturday, November 16th.  They won three out of the three games played!  Way to go Eagles! A great big thank you to Coach Foster and Coack Cronk for their dedication to the Larson basketball program.

          • 4th and 5th Grade Volleyball Season Has Begun!

            Volleyball Begins on Monday, January 13th. Practices are on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 3:45pm - 5:00pm. The season ends March 3rd. It is open to 4th and 5th grade girls and boys. Permission forms are available in the office.

            Larson students are gearing up to participate in the NYO district meet on Friday, January 31st (5th and 6th Grade Events) and Saturday, February 1st for 1st -4th Grade Events). The meet will be held at Houston JR/SR School. Mr. Foster has been working closely with the NYO athletes to perfect the high kick, eskimo stick pull, one foot high kick, two foot high kick, arm pull, wrist carry, kneel jump, eskimo stick pull, and seal hop.
