SCHOOL DISMISSAL - PARENTS ARE IN CHARGE
School Dismissal Manager - click the link to take you directly to the webpage
Parents - please download the school dismissal application on your mobile phone or access it on your laptop. Our staff is extremely focused on getting over 375 students a day to their right destination. Parents are now able to make the appropriate changes to afternoon bus and/or pickup changes by 3:00 p.m. This allows us to focus our attention on safely loading our busses, concentrating on who is picking a student up and releasing on time so that parents are not stuck waiting for late busses to arrive at stops.
If you arrive after our busses are loaded and ready to leave, you will be asked to meet your child's bus at their regular stop. Using school dismissal manager is a fantastic tool which puts the control of how your students travels in the afternoon back in your hand while allowing us to focus on the safety of your student.
Note: Changes MUST be made by 3:00 p.m. in order for them to reach Snowshoe's end of the day reports.

Matanuska Susitna Borough Student Recess Policy
(posted in the 2019-2020 Student Handbook)
Regular exposure to fresh air and vigorous exercise is essential to a child's physical well-being, daily periods of outdoor activity are strongly encouraged. Inclement weather is an obvious deterrent to maintenance of a daily schedule. As general criteria, the District recommends:
- Down to -10 regularly scheduled recesses
- Below -10 shortened and/or cancelled recesses at the discretion of the Principal
The weather conditions will carefully be monitored and recess may be limited or cancelled at the discretion of the Principal
Students go outside everyday for 30 minutes of recess. Please make sure that your child is dressed appropriately for the weather.
