I am excited to offer weekly arts and crafts ideas and projects for our students. This week’s project is friendship bracelets. You Tube has many great videos with step by step directions. I liked the following video https:/youtu.be/n2rq-btMNFI but feel free to create a bracelet of your choice. I look forward to seeing pictures of your creation on my Google Classroom, Ms. Pop’s Crafty Corner. Please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like materials for future projects and/or if you would like the class code for the Google Classroom, so you can share photos there.

Meadow Lakes Elementary qualifies as a CEP school.
The Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) is a meal service option for schools and school districts in low-income areas. A key provision of The Healthy, Hunger Free Kids Act (HHFKA, Public Law 111-296; December 13, 2010), CEP allows the nation’s low income schools and districts to serve breakfast and lunch at no cost to all enrolled students without the burden of collecting household applications. Instead, schools that adopt CEP are reimbursed using a formula based on the percentage of students participating in other specific means-tested programs, such as the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF).
What's this mean for our students? Every student will receive breakfast and lunch at NO COST to families. Families are NOT required to fill out lunch applications. Determination was made that qualifies Meadow Lakes Elementary a CEP school based on services that are being provided to families in our community.
