• Christmas Break for Students

    Our holiday break begins on December 22nd and goes through January 6th. Students will return to school on January 9, 2017. Snowshoe Elementary staff would like to wish all our families a very Merry Christmas and a happy New Year! Be safe and enjoy this time with your family and friends.

    The Matsu Special Santa Program is in full swing AND our nurse has forms available now! You can also download forms at http://www.specialsanta.net or see our link below under "Special Santa Program". More information is available by calling the hotline at 761-3770. Forms submitted by Dec. 7th will have priority. Snowshoe cannot accept completed forms. They must be mailed or dropped off so please do not send these to your child's teacher. The Special Santa Program also accepts donations.

  • Winter Concerts Dec. 13th & 15th

    Our KDG thru 2nd grade ONLY will be performing at 6:00 p.m. on Dec. 13th. Then on Dec. 15th our 3rd thru 5th grade will be performing at 6:00 p.m. followed by choir and band. Children are encouraged to dress up in their best clothes and don't forget those cameras! The children have been practicing for months to entertain you so bring the entire family and enjoy some holiday music from our Snowshoe students!

        Snowshoe Elementary is a Title I School.  We have some exciting family activities and nights planned this school year so be sure to check our website often!

        Students go outside everyday for 30 minutes of recess.  Please make sure that your child is dressed appropriately for the weather.

          School start/end times will remain the same for the 2016-2017 school year.
          Elementary schools time is 9:15 to 3:45.
          Middle/secondary schools time is 7:45 to 2:15.
          There are exceptions for northern schools:
          Willow start time is 8:20. Dismissal at 3:00 on M, Tu, Th, Fri & 1:40 on W.
          Talkeetna begins at 8:30. Dismissal at 3:05 on M, Tu, Th, Fri & 2:05 on W.
          Trapper Creek begins at 8:30. Dismissal at 3:00.
          Su Valley Jr/Sr High School begins at 8:30. Dismissal is at 2:54.
          If your child attends a charter school, confirm the time with your school.
