With the Mat-Su Health Foundation Grant, Glacier View students enjoyed swimming lessons and learning about healthy eating. Instructors from the UAF Coopertive Extension taught the kids to make a myriad of healthy meals that were extremely tasty. The elementary students learned the importance of staying active with swimming lessons.

Last year the state legislature passed HB278, which repealed the High School Graduation Qualifying Exam for Alaska students, but now requires that all 11th grade students take a College or Career Readiness Assessment (CCRA) specifically the ACT, SAT, or WorkKeys. Read More....

It is time! Standards Based Assessments and High School Graduation Qualifying Exams beginning Tuesday, April 1. Every child in third through tenth grades in our District as well as the State of Alaska will be assessed through the state tests. Testing will conclude on Thursday for all but 4th, 8th, and 10th grade students. Children in these grades will test on science on Friday. Students will demonstrate their knowledge in reading, language arts, and math. Read for tips....

We would like to personally invite you to our exciting school event! We have scheduled a building dedication ceremony/potluck for Sunday, March 3rd at 4pm.
