Larson Elementary Drama Club Needs Your Help!

 

          In April, we will be performing a brand new musical presentation, called Americans All! 
 

          As Americans, we come from many different backgrounds and cultures.  As part of our drama presentation, we would like to celebrate the diversity of our school community by displaying a Larson Family Heritage Wall.  We need YOUR help to create an amazing display which reflects our rich and diverse heritage!!!  THERE WILL BE PRIZES! 

 

Please make ONE of the following for our school wide cultural diversity display:
 
      A Family Tree           A Family Flag             A Family Coat of Arms
 

Your art project should measure no greater than 12” x 18”.  It should include meaningful information about your family (pictures, symbols, or words that help describe your family’s culture(s) of origin, favorite activities, favorite foods, funny sayings, and so forth).  You are welcome to use one of the idea templates we have provided on the Larson web site under the Drama link (located under the Activities tab) or come up with your own unique way to display a part of your family’s heritage.

 

          Have fun with your creations and celebrate your family’s heritage!  Feel free to use paper, fabric, paint, crayons, or other items, but please make sure all items are well attached to your pictures.  Also. . . PLEASE LABEL ALL PICTURES WITH YOUR NAME AND YOUR TEACHER’S NAME on the back so they can be returned to you.

 

          The deadline for turning in items for display is Thursday, April 19.  Prizes will be awarded in the following categories: 


ü  Most  Colorful                        ü  Most Symbolic

ü  Most Creative                         ü  Most Artistic

ü  Most Culturally Diverse           ü  Most Unique
