The Public Information Office is committed to facilitating superior communication within the district between the district and its community stakeholders. The office manages media relations for the school system, handles information requests, promotes internal communications for staff and employees, and produces a variety of publications for parents, students, community members, and business partners.
Available--an online magazine for parents and community members about district initiatives and useful information for parents and community stakeholders--MSBSD Inside. Current issues and archived back issues available for reading. Also available is the MSBSD Annual Report outlining the district mission and primary educational initiatives.
NEWSLine and STUDENTLine -- online news features highlighing the excellent work of the Mat-Su Borough School District employees and student accomplishments. This year: sharing through new MSBSD e-News, available through Blackboard Connect, our mass communication tool, sharing with District internal and external audiences and stakeholders.
The department recognizes its responsibility to take a leadership role in educational stewardship by promoting community awareness, initiating participation, and increasing community involvement.
