2017 marks the 25th anniversary of Alaska Science Olympiad.  Science Olympiad is a series of events where students work alone or with partners to master a subject area or construct some science machine to complete a task. CTHS  will host the annual CTHS Tiger Invitational on January 21st.  Alaska State Science Olympiad Meet will be held on April 1st at UAA.  The Division C winners will represent Alaska as they compete at Nationals against 60 high schools.  Nationals will be held at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio on May 17th - 21st, 2017.
Science Olympiad  has be adopted by the curriculum council and was offered at CTHS for the 2012/13 as a science elective class.  Students were able to take the class as many times as they would like.  Each semester completed will be worth .5 credits.  Our increased numbers of students participating in Science Olympiad was directly related to this class.  At this time Science Olympiad will be offered again for the 2016/2017 school year.
