The Alaska Avalanche School gave a presentation and workshop at Burchell High School. It was a fun and educational experience. Blaine and Nancy taught students how to identify dangerous areas that are avalanche prone and taught them about the different types of avalanches and how they happen. Then they took the students outside and taught how to find beacons. It was cold outside, but the students were real troopers.
