Records Specialist
   Mrs. Gagnon

Kathleen was born and raised in midwestern Illinois. She graduated from Manteno High School in 1985, with membership in the National Honor Society. Kathleen became a certified nursing assistant, working in a trauma center in Illinois. Kathleen moved to Alaska at Thanksgiving time in 1986, where she began raising a family and running a home daycare.
Kathleen has been a member of the Knik-Goosebay Family since 1994. As a parent, a volunteer, a substitute teacher, a monitor, a tutor-advisor, office assistant and most recently our new records specialist. Kathleen became "highly qualified" by district standards, via the HELP test. She has also participated in training offered through the district the qualifies her to proctor various standardized testing that our school administers.
Kathleen has been married for 29 years. She has 4 sons, (Wes, Mack, Chandler and Dawson) 2 granddaughters, (Hope and Annabella) and 1 grandson, (Westley Jr.) along with many "adopted" children. The Gagnon Family enjoy outdoor life, fishing and riding, as well as game and movie night.
Kathleen enjoys reading, writing, cooking and her family both near and far. A summer highlight she looks forward to is a trip to the midwest to visit with her extended family, a truly enjoyable time in the warm summer sun. New on the horizon, a newly built cabin in Petersville, long rides, warm fires, board games and movies, fun times ahead.
Kathleen loves the "family feeling" at Knik Elementary,  she looks forward to coming in each day, working with a great staff and awesome students, and being a part of educating our future leaders.
