Did you know that the most needed but least donated item for homeless shelters is SOCKS?? We are having a sock drive at our school from October 3rd -31st. Bring in a new pair of socks any color to fit any human from toddler to adult sizes. Winter in Alaska is cold, warm socks are apppreciated.
No school for students October 27th and 28th, please bring your parent to school for conferences. We will have student-led conferences, open house style on Thursday, October 27th from 1:00 PM - 7:30 PM and by appointment on Friday, October 28, from 8:45 AM -12:30 PM.
Thursday is a PD for staff; Friday is Parent/Teacher Conference Day. Some schools will hold P/T Conferences on both days. Check with your school for best day and times.
School Safety is a number one priority for the MSBSD. The School Board has goals that direct the work of the District. As a requirement of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act, states and school districts must issue annual report cards to parents. The purpose of the report card is to provide parents with information about the district and their child’s school in regards to teacher qualifications, academic achievement, and school/district accountability.
