        A Note From the Principal, Tom Lytle:
         
        I would like to welcome to you Fred and Sara Machetanz Elementary School, home of the Musk Ox!  Our school takes pride in the fact that, as a member of the herd, we all care about each other.  While none of us are perfect, we strive to make a positive difference every single day!  This week we are working on the virtue of compassion because we want to demonstrate that we really do know how to help others out and that we can empathize with them!  Compassion is caring in action!

        • ONLINE ABSENCE REPORTING AVAILABLE ON iPARENT 
          Parents - Online Absence Reporting. Parents now have a method to report online student absences. A written note or telephone call is still acceptable, but online reporting is easy through iParent. Parents know if the absence is excused and for what reason. It is a way for schools to accurately report and track data on student absences.

          School start and end times will remain the same for the 2012-13 school year as this school year. Elementary schools time is 9:15 to 3:45, and middle/secondary schools time is 7:45 to 2:15.
