        VPS Announcements

        • Valley Pathways School is hosting a fundraiser to send our students on the Close-Up trip to Washington, D.C..  The Video/Magic Game Tournament is for current Valley Pathways students grades 9-12 and current Palmer High School students.   If a student from Burchell, Colony, or Wasilla High Schools would like to attend, they must be a pre-approved guest of a Valley Pathways student with a signed Guest Pass for this event.  The deadline for a guest pass is 2:30 PM - February 24, 2016.  NO EXCEPTIONS.   This event is capped at 50 for the Video Game Tournament and 50 for the Magic Card Game Tournament.  First come, first served.



          All attendees need to fill out and turn in a Permission Slip and the Rules & Information sheet signed by both the student attending and their parent or guardian.  In addition, all Palmer High School students will need to be approved to attend through Mr. David Bonn, Safety and Security Coordinator for VPS and PHS.



          The Gaming Tournament starts at 8:00 PM on February 26, 2016.  Tournament and game play ends at 8:00 AM on February 27, 2016.  Transportation for each student must be available at this time.  A fee of $10.00 will be collected to attend the Tournament.  Food from concessions will be available for purchase.  All funds raised will go to the Close-Up fundraiser.




          The forms needed for this event (Permission Slip, Guest Pass and Rules & Information sheet) are on Valley Pathway's Web Page on the School Calendar. (click above the date of the event) All forms are also available at the front desk for pick up.

        • arrow MSBSD START TIMES - 2015-2016
          School start/end times will remain the same for the 2015-2016 school year.
          Elementary schools time is 9:15 to 3:45.
          Middle/secondary schools time is 7:45 to 2:15.
          There are exceptions for northern schools:
          Willow start time is 8:20. Dismissal at 3:00 on M, Tu, Th, Fri & 1:40 on W.
          Talkeetna begins at 8:30. Dismissal at 3:00 on M, Tu, Th, Fri & 1:40 on W.
          Trapper Creek begins at 8:30. Dismissal at 3:00.
          Su Valley Jr/Sr High School begins at 8:30. Dismissal is at 2:54.
          If your child attends a charter school, confirm the time with your school.

          Parents—Online Absence Reporting. Parents now have a method to report online student absences. A written note or telephone call is still acceptable, but online reporting is easy through iParent.
