Have a Great Summer!

We have had a very exciting last few weeks here at Swanson! We've held our annual "Bikes for Books" gold medal award ceremony and some very lucky winners were chosen to receive new bikes! See our webpage below for their names and grades. All of our classes have been enjoying some fabulous field trips and walking field trips around our community. We look forward to seeing all our Swanson families back in the fall. Have a great summer!

Online Absence Reporting Available on iParent

Parents now have a method to report online student absences. A written note or telephone call is still acceptable, but online reporting is easy through iParent. Parents know if the absence is excused and for what reason. It is a way for schools to accurately report and track data on student absences.

Swanson Announcements

SWANSON ACTIVITIES, INCENTIVES AND FUNDRAISERS!

"RESPECT" Tickets: Every Friday, we celebrate those who are caught exhibiting good behavior and excellent choices by drawing names from each classroom for either a prize, an elevator ride or lunch with the Principal!

Popcorn Fridays! After lunch, the office begins selling a hot yummy bag of popcorn for .75 cents. it's a great treat and a wonderful way to support our school!

Box Tops - We collect General Mills Box Tops all year round. We have two collection bins in the foyer and Box Top Bucks collection sheets on the wall outside the office door. Every time a student brings a completed "buck" they will receive a prize from the office!

EScrip - We do escrip registration drives throughout the school year with special incentive drawings for those students that participate. Escrip is a fabulously easy way for our school to benefit every time you buy groceries at Carrs/Safeway! Each time a registered user makes a purchase, up to 4% of their monthly purchases will automatically be contributed to their designated school. Don't forget Swanson, the best part is it's FREE!

MSBSD Website users may have already discovered mobile web app delivery of our site when they are on their smart phone. The mobile web app, giving parents and the community quick access to contact information, calendar features, up-to-date news and other features, is now online. MSBSD START TIMES REMAIN SAME FOR 2012-2013!
School start and end times will remain the same for the 2012-13 school year as this school year. Elementary schools time is 9:15 to 3:45, and middle/secondary schools time is 7:45 to 2:15.
