Trish Zugg currently teaches the Cisco Networking Academy CCNA courses to district-wide students at CTHS.  She teaches in the afternoons part-time and also works in the CTE office at the district headquarters.

Trish Zugg has taught in the Business/Information Technology discipline for the last 17 years.  Before entering the education field and after receiving her bachelors in Accounting; she spent time working in industry for both the oil & gas industry and in the administative/clerical sector.  While working in the Prudhoe Bay Oilfield she could be found performing general labor, driving trucks and loaders, and experiencing work in 40 below weather!  Her “full-time” job is dedicated to her husband and three young daughters.  Her family enjoys time together getting away from it all and snowmachining to their cabin in the woods.

Career and Technical Education (CTE) is Trish’s passion.  This is a very exciting time for Trish having spent many years preparing for the opening of the Career & Technical High School.  In efforts to stay up to date and expand her knowledge base in CTE, she holds a masters in vocational education, is a Certified Cisco Network Associate and Certified Academy Instructor.  She has served multiple terms as an officer for the Alaska Association for Career and Technical Education and is currently their Past-President.  It was an honor and certainly humbling for Trish to be awarded the 2007 Alaska Career & Technical Education Teacher of the Year; as well as, a BP Teacher of Excellence.
